The band started playing R.A.C but later albums are laden with more Thrash Metal. Kolovrat became one of the first R.A.C bands in Russia. In 1997 they changed their name to Kolovrat after releasing 2 demo EP's under the Russia Ghetto name. Kolovrat is a ancient Slavic Pagan Symbol for the sun (Sun Wheel) and in fact is, two Swastikas with all eight ends pointing right.
